-----------------------
Johan Cruyff is a name synonymous with football whether by memory or legacy, his impact on the game is unlike any other. Already dubbed "El Salvador" for his efforts in Blue and Red, the Dutchman returned to the Nou Camp a decade later and reinforced that title. Step by step, he moulded Barcelona to fit his vision, changing all from the playing style to manpower to the academy and crafted "The Dream Team", and football was never the same.

How A "CHAINSMOKING" Party Animal With No Discipline Outplayed Everyone!
Переглядів 333 тис.Місяць тому
These days, the world's game is really missing some of the wild characters that brought the "Rock-Star" quality to retro football. Radja Nainggolan filled that void in the 2010s: the chain-smoking, mohawk-wearing, tattoo-addict, club regular was one of the planet's most recognisable players. It wasn't just his look, but as a box-to-box midfielder, he was a monster, diving into slide tackles wit...
How A "SKINNY" Reject Became The Best Midfielder In The WORLD!
Переглядів 295 тис.2 місяці тому
Midfielders aren't often the superstars of the sport, let alone the defensive ones. However, for Man City's 16, this doesn't apply; bagging the winner to complete a historic Continental Treble and a litany of Man of the Match awards has put Rodri on top of the mountain, named by Guardiola, his most important player...but things weren't always this easy for the 27 year old. "The Streets Won't Forget" & Adel Taarabt go hand-in-hand. Back in the early 2010s, this Morroccan starlet was lighting it up at Loftus Road and his future was one of the most promising in European football. Unbelievably skillful and confident on match days, it wasn't his feet that caused issue in the end, but a temper and ego that led him down an unexpected path... Chapters: 0:00 - Intro 0:10 ...

I swear, as a young kid back when Quaresma made his debut at Sporting, he was my favorite player. I remember being 10y old and going to a match in the old José de Alvalade, and my younger self was just amazed with the guy who was doing all those outta this world dribbles. Such a shame he made most of his name on our rivals, if he could have come back to Sporting in 04, we might have not needed to wait 19 years to win another league title.

I have always been of the opinion that by far and away the greatest player of all time is Johan. His impact on the game is still felt today, both on and off the pitch. It's not about stats in his case, its his philosophy and ideology that we see to this day. An incredible player.

I’m sorry but Pele had a greater impact. Pele brought a flaire and joy to watching football, was a huge figure for the black community world wide, actually made America interested in football leading to them hosting the World Cup in 1994 and he built the greatest football dynasty ever. Remember he mended the broken heart of Brazil and without Pele they is a very strong chance Brazil don’t win a single World Cup. Without Pele showing his flare, we don’t get Zico, Sokrates, R9, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho heck even the likes of Messi, Maradona & Cruyff wouldn’t play the way they did without Pele. Football would be a far worse sport without his influence although I respect your opinion

As a football fan, I always thank Cruyff due to how much he changed football (effects seen to this day) that trio of L-S-R was amazing, wish I got to watch it live. Though in the UCL Final, Capello's biggest fear heading into the match was Laudrup who got benched. Also Milan dominated the game from midfield to the defense as Romario would end up getting 0 shots on target.
